MEDLOG V 1.0.9

MEDLOG is a platform-independent middleware which provides a safe and stable on-line data processing between medical devices and patients data management systems (PDMS) and documentation systems respectivly.

The innovative communication server is based on latest software technologies and can be integrated in any IT-environment for clinical documentation. The system may be implemented in an existing documentation system with a minimal effort.

With the implementation of MEDLOG the entire process environment provided by the medical devices can be automated. Lacking device connections of PDMS or medical information systems will be easily augmented with MEDLOG.

MEDLOG provides a safe and stable on-line data processing between medical devices and documentation systems hospital-wide.

Product features

The MEDLOG Device Driver Library contains device drivers for all established manufacturers of medical devices. The following device types can be connected via MEDLOG system:

Monitors
Monitoring systems
Anaesthetic devices
Devices for artificial respiration
Dialysis devices
Pumps
Pump systems (Fluid manager)
ECG devices
Nutrition pumps
Special devices (e. g. for CCO-measuring, liver dialysis or heart-lung-machine)

The medical parameters are standardised to a BMC device data standard. The device data are interpreted by the MEDLOG system on physical and professional medical level. The data are avaliable to the external interfaces in a standardised form.

The following options of physical connection to medical engineering devices are provided by MEDLOG:

RS-232, RS-232 via USB, ETHERNET, RS-232 via Bluetooth
BUS SYSTEMS, for example BRAUN FM, ARCOMED PUMPS,
DRÄGER MEDIBUS, FRESENIUS DPS
NETWORKED SYSTEMS, for example NIHON KODEN LIFESCOPE

External interfaces to patients data management systems, documentation systems or medical information systems can be reached by MEDLOG in three different ways:

XML-export (HTTP)
HL7-export (Socket)
SQL-request to MEDLOG database
